Do I actually own my website?
Yes, outright. Your site, your domain and your content are all yours to keep, with no lock-in. If you ever want to move on, you take everything with you. No hostage situations.
How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?
Builders like Squarespace and Wix keep you paying month after month for something you never actually own, and the day you leave, you leave with nothing. A site we build is made for your business and belongs to you. The care plan covers hosting and upkeep, not the right to keep using your own website.
Is a custom site really more secure than WordPress?
Custom-built sites load quickly and have almost nothing to hack: no vulnerable plugins, no database to break into. WordPress promises freedom, then hands you endless plugin updates and security scares. The servers are managed by an enterprise-grade host, just like the big platforms.
What does it cost?
Moving an existing site across starts from £500, and a brand-new custom design from £1,000. Once you're live, a care plan keeps everything hosted, secure and up to date from £24 a month, with no minimum term. All prices are + VAT. The pricing pack has the full breakdown, with worked examples.
What do the care plans include?
Every plan includes hosting, an SSL certificate, security and behind-the-scenes updates, uptime monitoring and version-controlled backups. Plans above the entry level add a monthly allowance of changes, and the higher ones add blog publishing, reporting and ongoing SEO. The pricing pack compares them side by side.
Am I tied into a contract?
No. Care plans are rolling monthly by direct debit, with 30 days' notice to cancel: no minimum term and no annual tie-in. That's deliberate. We'd rather you stayed because the service is worth it than because you signed something in January.
Can I just have the hosting?
Yes. The entry plan is hosting, SSL, security updates, monitoring and backups, and nothing else. Anything you need doing is quoted first. It suits a site that mostly sits still, and you can move up a plan the moment that stops being true.
What if I need something changed after launch?
Just send it over. There are no dashboards to wrestle with; you deal with us directly. Most plans include a monthly allowance of changes, which covers most things people actually ask for. If a job is bigger than your allowance, we'll tell you before we start and give you a price, so nothing lands on an invoice as a surprise.
How quickly do you turn changes around?
Rather than promise a turnaround we can't always keep, we'll come back to you with a realistic date and then hit it. Most small changes happen within a couple of days. The higher plans go to the front of the queue, and if your site ever goes down, the monitoring usually tells us before you notice.
Do you write the blog posts?
The care plans publish and optimise them; you supply the words. If you'd rather not write them, we do that too: we find the keywords your customers are actually searching, we have a call so we've got your view on the subject, and then we write them. Content packages are priced in the pricing pack.
